Harman

Over four decades ago, Dane Harman made a wood stove for his own home out of necessity. Word spread and soon he was building stoves for his friends and neighbors. He quickly outgrew his garage and both he and his wife, Gloria, quit their jobs to start Harman Stove & Welding. With an innate eye for design, a deep understanding of heat exchangers and expert welding skills, Dane continued to design wood, coal, pellet and gas stoves. Coining the tagline “Built to a Standard, Not a Price” in 1980, Harman became known as a manufacturer of attainable luxury stoves. Now dedicated exclusively to pellet heating products, Harman remains true to the promise of uncompromising quality and exclusive features worthy of the investment.

Quadra-Fire

In 1976, Dan Henry's father inspired him to construct his inaugural wood stove, igniting a passion for engineering and craftsmanship. This initial creation marked the beginning of a remarkable journey. Alan Trusler joined forces with Henry, and together they pioneered a range of innovative technologies, including the revolutionary Quadra-Burn system in 1986. Thus, Quadra-Fire was born.

Having earned an impressive eight industry Vesta awards, this entrepreneurial small business from Colville, Washington evolved into a symbol of durability and efficiency.

Vermont Castings

In 1975, Duncan Syme had an idea that could help his neighbors keep their homes warm in the face of rising energy costs. Founded on the belief that the stately beauty of cast iron could be combined with the simple utility of wood heat, the iconic Defiant wood stove was born.

Quickly becoming a household name, Vermont Castings became the pinnacle of wood stove heat and American craftsmanship. So enamored of the brand were Vermont Castings’ consumers, they traveled to the factory for annual owners’ outings, descending on rural Vermont by the thousands. Today, the original Defiant calls the Smithsonian home, a testament to its place in American history.

The dedication to craftsmanship is as alive as ever and Vermont Castings wood and gas stoves continue to bridge beauty and utility with timeless designs.
