Harman is celebrating its 35th anniversary! First and foremost, thank you to all of our loyal customers who have relied on our stoves and hearth products to heat your homes for more than three decades. To mark the milestone, we’re giving back by donating a Harman P43 pellet stove to a U.S. military family every month from September through December 2014. All active and former military members are invited to enter. You can also nominate family and friends, so please help us spread the word!
In August, we celebrated the 35 year milestone with much fanfare at our Halifax, Pennsylvania plant. Commissioner Jeff Haste of Dauphin County officially declared August 14, 2014, “Harman Celebrates 35 Years of Business Excellence Day,” and we marked the occasion by recognizing our terrific employees for their dedication and commitment during a celebratory lunch.
August 14, 2014 was decalred "Harman Day" by Commissioner Jeff Haste of Dauphin County
With roots dating back to 1979, Harman’s history is that of the iconic American dream. A skilled young tradesman and entrepreneur, Dane Harman designed and built the first Harman stove in his garage in Pennsylvania. Fast forward to today and Harman is a national brand with more than 250 employees. We manufacture 36 models of stoves and heating units that that burn wood, pellets, and other alternative biomass fuels – all designed to keep energy emissions low and families safe.
“Over the years, we’ve solidified our position as the leading premium stove manufacturer in the U.S.,” said Karen Harman Smeltz, senior brand manager. “We’re so proud of that legacy, and are constantly working to build on it by continuing to develop innovative, powerful, and efficient products that help consumers heat their homes with renewable fuel.”
Thank you for your support over the past 35 years. From all of us at Harman, enjoy the fire!
